Introduction

The Strategic Planning and Effective Decision Making course is designed for managers, leaders, and decision-makers in organizations who are responsible for guiding their teams and companies toward long-term success. This five-day course will equip participants with the skills and frameworks to develop effective strategic plans, make informed decisions, and implement them successfully within their organizations.   • Decision Making Models: Exploring models such as the Rational Decision-Making Model, Bounded Rationality, and Intuitive Decision Making.

Day 2: Environmental Analysis and SWOT

  • Environmental Scanning: How to assess internal and external factors that influence organizational strategy (e.g., market trends, competition, regulations).
  • PESTEL Analysis: Analyzing Political, Economic, Social, Technological, Environmental, and Legal factors impacting strategy.
  • SWOT Analysis: Identifying organizational strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Competitive Analysis: How to assess competitors’ strategies and market positioning.
  • Using Data for Strategic Insights: How to gather and analyze data for informed decision-making.

  • Decision-Making Frameworks: Introduction to decision-making tools like the Decision Matrix, Cost-Benefit Analysis, and the Eisenhower Matrix.
  • Quantitative vs. Qualitative Decision Making: Understanding when to use data-driven decision-making and when to rely on qualitative insights.
