Course Introduction

Welcome to the Five-Day Course on Sewage Network Management! This course is designed for civil engineers, municipal workers, wastewater treatment professionals, and project managers involved in the design, operation, and maintenance of sewage systems. The management of sewage networks is critical for ensuring public health, environmental protection, and sustainable urban infrastructure. This comprehensive course will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to efficiently manage sewage networks, improve system performance, prevent failures, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Through lectures, hands-on activities, and case studies, you will learn modern techniques for sewage system management, covering everything from network design and operation to monitoring, troubleshooting, and long-term maintenance.

Course Objectives

By the end of this five-day course, participants will:

  1. Understand Sewage Network Systems: Learn the components, functions, and types of sewage networks.
  2. Master Network Design and Planning: Gain practical knowledge in designing and planning sewage systems, from initial concept to implementation.
  3. Learn Monitoring and Maintenance Techniques: Acquire the skills to monitor, inspect, and maintain sewage networks effectively.
  4. Troubleshoot Common Issues: Learn to identify and resolve common sewage system issues, such as blockages, leaks, and inflow/infiltration problems.
  5. Ensure Regulatory Compliance: Understand the standards, regulations, and safety protocols that govern sewage networks.
  6. Implement Advanced Technologies: Explore the use of modern technologies, including GIS, SCADA systems, and IoT, for sewage network management.
